Technique Tuesday for April

Hey there everyone, how are we all today? I hope this blog find you well and looking forward to my Technique Tuesday for the month of April?

TT can now be found live on YouTube or afterwards here on the blog if you are willing to scroll down a bit further. There have been many reasons for this, some technical, some personal and some considering learning trends but if you have found this blog then you will also find the recorded footage, the resources and links to the equipment I used. Please be aware that I use affiliate links so if you click on a product here and then end up buying it, I get a tiny kickback to keep these broadcasts free to all so we help each other out.

This year I made the decision to theme each month that I teach, mostly to help my online art collective The All A-Board Artists (read more about them HERE) but also to help focus the techniques I am sharing and so no matter how you interact with my tuition, we will all be talking about similar things during the month.

If you know my work well then you know I love birds as a theme, whether it’s owls, raptors or my own chickens (and they can be raptors too!) and they often make an appearance in my paintings but I thought I would do something a little different today and discuss the idea of the artist as a collector. I have a special selection of feathers in a beautiful handmade ceramic pot in my studio and I love to look through them for ideas every now and then, combine this with my love of printmaking and I’m intending to have some inspiration for you.

I hope you enjoy what I have in store with this demo, Ali
